We Hit 100 Members!
Why This Milestone Matters for Female Record Collectors Everywhere
Yesterday, our community for female record collectors officially hit 100 members, and I’m still processing it. It didn’t hit me right away, but a few minutes later, I found myself crying because this number isn’t just a number. It’s proof that women in vinyl collecting want a space that finally feels like theirs.
From the beginning, this community was created with a simple goal: to build a place where women who love physical media could connect, learn, share, and feel seen. Hitting 100 members tells me that this goal matters—not just to me, but to all of us.
As we’ve grown, our channels have grown with us. What started as a small experiment now includes spaces for merch drops, concerts, discography deep-dives, and group album listens. Watching members bond over new finds, the rising cost of vinyl, or getting excited about Taylor Swift holiday merch has shown me something important:
We were never the “silent minority.” We were just waiting for a place to speak.
And while the journey hasn’t been perfect—I definitely should’ve moved us to Discord earlier, and TikTok still makes me nervous. Every effort has been worth it because of what this community has become: a home. A home for women who collect, share, analyze, obsess, and celebrate music in all its forms.
Why This Milestone Matters
There has always been a strong and passionate group of women who love collecting records. But for a long time, there’s also been hesitation—fear, intimidation, or feeling like we didn’t fully belong in the vinyl world.
Reaching 100 members proves that we are not alone, and we are no longer quiet. Our voices, questions, collections, and excitement deserve a dedicated space.
What’s Next
The next milestone I’m dreaming of? In-person meetups.
While connecting online has been incredible, the true heart of this community is friendship—and I want that to exist offline too. I’m hoping for our first NYC event in 2026, and I can already imagine the energy of a room full of women who love records just as much as they love supporting each other.
Our Mission
We exist because we are record collectors like anyone else.
We understand the importance of physical media, the joy of holding music in our hands, and the magic of discovering something new. No matter where you come from, music remains one of the few things that brings us all together.
This milestone tells me one thing clearly: we’re building something real, something needed, and something that’s only just beginning.
